Flexibility is at your fingertips with LCTA’s
new Microtransit service “LCTA CONNECTS”
Microtransit is flexible! It allows you to book a trip when YOU need it.
LCTA CONNECTS is similar to other ride-share services where customers can use a smartphone app or call LCTA to request a ride to and from anywhere they wish to travel within the our three service zone boundaries and within travel times.
Customers may call and book trips with a Customer Service Agent by calling (570) 763-7373 on Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Customers may book on the LCTA CONNECTS app.
The app is available through the Apple store and Google Play.
Customers may also book through the Ride Booking Web Portal: LCTA-CONNECTS-BOOK-MY-RIDE
“Booking Now” versus “Pre-Booking”
1) Book when you are ready!
When you want to book your ride ‘today,’ please book as close as possible to the time you want to be picked up. This is the “on-demand” part of this service. We understand you may want to book later in the day for peace of mind, but the software allows immediate trips specifically to be “on-demand.” We can guarantee a 30-minute pick-up window when you “book now.”
2) The “pre-book” option is only for tomorrow or the following day.
Right now, you may pre-book for tomorrow on the app (or through the web portal) until 5 p.m. today. You cannot book ahead for a later trip the same day; instead, use the ‘book now’ feature when you are ready to be picked up.
Connecting with Fixed Route Buses

The zone also provides connections to Dupont, Avoca, the Wilke- Barre/Scranton International Airport, and West Pittston with Route 11 East/West Connector, Route 16 Old Forge via River Road, and Route 20 Pittston/Hilldale. This service operates on weekdays and on Saturdays.

Sat.: Travel between 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Bad weather or Snow Routes:
LCTA CONNECTS service will operate roads as per driver discretion. Pick-ups and Drop-offs should be able to be completed since there are no standard fixed routes and drivers can use alternate roads provided it is safe to do so.
If Fixed Route Bus Service is suspended or stopped for any reason, LCTA CONNECTS will be suspended or stopped as well.
The Hanover Industrial Park Zone: Pilot microtransit service in the Hanover Industrial Park area with connections to bus service routes 13, 14, and 15. The zone would also provide connections to Warrior Run, Sugar Notch, Ashley, Lynnwood and Korn Krest. This service operates on weekdays and Saturdays.
