NEPA is facing a critical dilemma related to public transit funding. As our area welcomes new employers and expanded employment opportunities, more people will be reliant upon public transit. Public Transit is needed if we hope to continue to increase jobs, offer access to healthcare and education, and address environmental concerns. Reduced federal funding and complicated state funding, which is currently being challenged in the legal system, could leave public transit without a secure, reliable, and sustainable funding source.
WITHOUT THESE FUNDS, PUBLIC TRANSIT SERVICES WILL BE IMPACTED!
